What's not to get? Sci fi and wrestling are a natural combination! Each focuses on the presentation of dramatic narrative focused around out-of-this world characters, fantastic situations, and the extremities of human potential, and visually displays this struggle using copious helpings of special effects and visual trickery. There's very little difference between your average Wrestlemania and your campy pulp SF of the Flash Gordon era. Neither makes claims to being thrillingly intellectual - they're there to give you a show, and by and large they both succeed.
Come on, now. SF may run monster of the week movies, but it also runs Battlestar Galactica and Dr. Who. I hardly think the average of those two is pro wrestling.
Now, if you're willing to put wrestlers up against, say, the Mansquito--well, then you've got yourself a Saturday programming block.
Pitting their Sat Matinees against each other would be excellent, in that old school Godzilla suit kind of way.
Manquito Versus Bruce Campbell. Ah heck, anything versus Bruce Campbell.
