One of my favorite bargain basement stores, Outpost.com, made it possible for me to make cheap gaming rig. I was pricing a potential upgrade (quieter CPU fan, Pentium 4 processor ... about $200) at NewEgg and decided to swing back by Outpost to see if they had continued their trend, should I ever want a cheap base in the future.
$480?? ... dang, that's almost as much as the CheapBox is worth with the small upgrades I've been doing to it. Heck, I got it for $199 ... so I could have easily upgraded the processor for that much ... or even getter a better base.
Granted, Outpost.com prices change like the wind. Looks like I got lucky though.
